Yidan Zhang

Prior to her doctoral studies, Yidan Zhang received a BEng degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering and an MSc degree in Electrical Power Engineering from the University of Edinburgh. After MSc studies, she also worked as an electrical engineer for Sinopec designing electrical systems for buildings. Currently, she is a PhD student in the School of Engineering, also at the University of Edinburgh. Her research interests include modelling of electrical power take-off for renewable energy, and control of tidal current turbine arrays.
