Rodrigo Rojas is marine biologist with over 30 years of experience in environmental and energy research. He is coordinator of marine energy task force at the Costarrican Electricity Institute, Director of outreach program for Central and South America for the INORE, Regional focal point of REMAR-CyTED Program and PAMEC Board Member. Rodrigo leads research and provides technical support to build the capacity and conditions for the design, development and future deployment of marine energy in Costa Rica and the Central America region. He has also played a leadership role in the development of the offshore wind road map of Costa Rica, the analysis of marine energy supply chain, metocean analysis, social acceptance and environmental liability topics. Dr. Rojas is lecturer and thesis professor in public and private universities. He is a frequent speaker and moderator at international conferences on offshore renewable energy and the blue economy.
