Olatz is a Mechanical Engineer at IDOM Consulting, Engineering, and Architecture firm at Bilbao office in the Basque Country, with a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of the Basque Country and a master’s degree in aerospace engineering completed at Cranfield University, UK.
She has an extensive background in turbomachinery, has worked in the aerospace sector with aircraft engine turbines, and is currently working on diverse innovative projects related to offshore marine renewable energies, such as the project presented at this conference. She is now the project coordinator of the Mobile Test Vessel for Current Energy Converters, a project for the Department of Energy of the United States.
