Laura Serri was born and lives in Milan where she graduated in physics.
For more than 15 years she has been carrying out research activities in the field of renewable energies, in particular wind and ocean energy, assessing resource, potentials, and costs.
Currently she works in RSE (Research on the Energy System) S.p.A. and is responsible for the Research Group “Innovative Systems and Technologies for Energy Grids”
Since 2012 she has been the member for Italy in the Executive Committee of the International Energy Agency Wind Technology Collaboration Program (IEA WIND TCP).
Since 2021 she has been the Vice Chair of the International Energy Agency High Temperature Superconductivity Technology Collaboration Program (IEA HTS TCP)
Since 2010 she has been supporting the European Commission as external expert.
