Ciaran Frost
Dr Ciaran Frost is a Techno-Economic Analyst working within the Analysis & Insights team at the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult. He specialises in developing techno-economic models and tools to assess levelized cost of energy (LCOE) and determine the economic viability of offshore renewable energy projects.
Ciaran is the techno-economic analyst on the Tidal Stream Industry Energiser project (TIGER), the largest ever Interreg funded project (€45.4M total). For this role he is conducting assessments of six tidal projects being developed. Analyses include LCOE assessments, cost reduction trajectories, tidal industry roadmaps and a study into the benefits of predictable tidal stream for the wider energy system.
