Carlos Perez-Collazo (CPC) is a lecturer at the Centro Universitario de la Defensa en la Escuela Naval Militar in Marin (Spain), teaching as part of the mechanical engineering degree, engineering design and naval engines and propulsion systems modules. CPCs research focuses on the development of innovative solutions to harness marine energy, digital twin models for naval platforms and coastal management, autonomous naval vehicles, and remote sensing technologies.
During his academic career, he has been directly involved in a several research projects with national and international partners and provided research expertise to further international collaborations involving physical modelling at the laboratory and numerical modelling with CFD. CPC has a large experience as project manager in both industry and academia, with a particular emphasis in research and development projects. He has managed research projects and networks such as the SOWFIA and SAFEWAY EU Projects or the PRIMaRE and INORE networks.
