Get a chance to share your most recent achievements, successes, technical developments, and lessons learnt during ICOE-OEE 2022, the world- renowned conference on ocean energy. This edition’s central theme is: “Live Ocean Energy. The Future is Now”.
ICOE-OEE 2022 aims at focusing on real experience from the ocean energy world and on synergies with other sectors and the larger blue economy. Depending on the assessment of your abstract, you might intervene in a plenary session, a parallel session, or a poster presentation.
Your submissions will need to address at least one topic in one of the four areas shown below, will need to be original and specifically prepared for ICOE-OEE 2022.
Submissions might be of an industrial, scientifical or technical nature, as well as addressed to a more general audience. Auxiliary presentations or graphics will be accepted. The official conference language is English.
The final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of abstracts will be taken by the ICOE Executive Committee.
Abstracts will be reviewed by experts from the ICOE-OEE 2022 International Advisory Committee, which gathers members of ocean energy industries, associations, academic bodies and public authorities worldwide. Final decision will be taken in the Executive Committee.
Abstracts must be submitted online via the abstract submission form.
The call for abstract submissions for ICOE-OEE 2022 has been extended until the 22 April 2022. Evaluation will be notified by the end of May 2022.
Every effort will be made to accept quality abstracts that address the conference themes and meet the standards exercised by the committees, but submission is expected to be competitive and authors are encouraged to consider how their contribution may best fit and to ensure that the abstract truly represents the value of their contribution.
Young researchers (students, including PhD students, and post-docs in their first 5 years of research career ) will be a part of a competition sponsored by Ocean Energy Systems. The winners of the “Best Poster” awards will be announced during the closing session of ICOE-OEE 2022. The prize will consist of a diploma and a monetary prize of €2,000 for the winner and €1,000 for the runner-up. The diplomas will be delivered during the closing session and the prize transferred afterwards.
Selected abstracts will be invited to participate in the event at a special registration price as speakers or as part of the poster session, using templates provided by the organisation. Selected posters will also be requested to record a video briefly explaining the content. All accepted abstracts, presentations and posters will be archived as the proceedings of ICOE-OEE 2022 by Ocean Energy Systems at www.icoe-conference.com.
